\/\/ ]]><\/script><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a title=\"Click to visit Jerry on IMDB!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000988\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jerry Bruckheimer<\/a> and company did a wonderful job enlisting such a talented cast and crew.\u00a0 Director <a title=\"Click to visit Mike on IMDB!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0001565\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mike Newell<\/a> had the challenging task of shooting a film that would be true to the video game and yet still appeal to those who had never tried the game. \u00a0I personally believe he pulled it off quite well.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"http:\/\/adisney.go.com\/disneypictures\/princeofpersia\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-219\" title=\"Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/MovieM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/prince_of_persia_the_sands_of_time_001.jpg\" alt=\"Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan\" width=\"576\" height=\"385\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/MovieM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/prince_of_persia_the_sands_of_time_001.jpg 576w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/MovieM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/prince_of_persia_the_sands_of_time_001-256x171.jpg 256w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/MovieM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/prince_of_persia_the_sands_of_time_001-560x374.jpg 560w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">I have to admit when Jake Gyllenhaal was officially cast I was not\u00a0sure I could be sold on the idea he could make a convincing Prince Dastan.\u00a0 I am certainly glad to have been proven wrong.\u00a0 He displayed his acting talent, especially for the more serious scenes, as well as the more comedic ones.\u00a0 One could tell the number of hours he committed himself to the numerous fight scenes and stunts.\u00a0 I also really enjoyed the chemistry between Tamina (Gemma Arterton) and Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"http:\/\/adisney.go.com\/disneypictures\/princeofpersia\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-221\" title=\"Jake with Alfred Molina as Sheik Amar\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/MovieM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/POPTSOT19_555pxBLOG.jpg\" alt=\"Alfred Molina as Sheik Amar\" width=\"576\" height=\"472\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/MovieM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/POPTSOT19_555pxBLOG.jpg 576w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/MovieM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/POPTSOT19_555pxBLOG-234x192.jpg 234w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/MovieM\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/POPTSOT19_555pxBLOG-468x384.jpg 468w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a title=\"Click to visit Alfred on IMDB!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000547\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alfred Molina\u2019s<\/a> character, Sheikh Amar, was a good choice for comic relief.\u00a0 His character is summed up as the wise-ass, money making thug with a heart.\u00a0 I think Sheik Amar had some of the best lines in the movie.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a title=\"Click to visit Tom on IMDB\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0940054\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tom Wood<\/a> and his team of Visual Effects Artists definitely brought back what I imagine Persia looked like in the sixth century.\u00a0 They had the task of creating nearly 1,200 visual-effect shots for the movie.\u00a0 I was especially impressed by how seamless the matte painting shots of each city or location were from a 360-degree view.\u00a0 Other impressive visual-effects shots were the rewind scenes when the Sands of Time were activated.\u00a0 These scenes were not just shot from one specific angle, but from multiple angles.\u00a0 I can only imagine the number of hours it took to get those scenes just right.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">I truly enjoyed the movie soundtrack from composer <a title=\"Click to visit Gregson Williams on IMDB\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0004581\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harry Gregson-Williams<\/a>.\u00a0 Each track amplified each scene just right.\u00a0 What I enjoyed most about composer Gregson-Williams was the fact that he did not limit himself to just using a traditional orchestra for the soundtrack.\u00a0 I could hear an electric guitar and what seemed like a rock band.\u00a0 To hear samples of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time soundtrack you can go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.disney.go.com\/disneypictures\/princeofpersia\/\">http:\/\/www.disney.go.com\/disneypictures\/princeofpersia\/<\/a> and click on the MUSIC link.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Along with the great music comes the eye popping stunts. Stunt Coordinator <a title=\"Click to visit George on IMDB\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1183872\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">George Aguilar<\/a> and his team of stunt men and women did an excellent job. The stunts and fight scenes looked effortless, especially the chase scenes involving Dastan running across rooftops and jumping off and down walls.\u00a0 I was pleased to find out they had brought in David Belle, a legend and originator of Parkour.\u00a0 Parkour is described as the art of movement.\u00a0 These guys literally bounce, climb, run, and tumble on almost any surface you can think of.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">The only part of the movie I felt a bit let down by was how some of the fight scenes were edited.\u00a0 I would say a good half of the scenes were close-up shots.\u00a0 In those cases all you saw was a blur of a punch or kick.\u00a0 I really wanted to see the fight scenes from a wide angle.\u00a0 I believe you would see more of how well these fight scenes were choreographed if seen from a wider perspective.\u00a0 I want to admire the talent of the stunt people and actors, but that is\u00a0just me.\u00a0 Other than that, I can not\u00a0seem to find anything that I did not like about the movie.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Overall, it is a movie I would definitely watch again.
