As the bride steps out of her cage, it is revealed that she is wearing a tear away gown, as she strips to lingerie for Alak and the crowd. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Alak quickly realizes what she is there for and what he is supposed to do, but as the valiant young man he is, he refuses as a matter of honor toward Christie. This calls into his question his manhood with his friends and a fight soon ensues.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">As they continue, one gets thrown into the wall, opening a gaping hole in the wall and revealing the skeletal remains of a hand. Doing the fitting and the alterations is Kenya Rosewater (<a title=\"Mia Kirshner Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/msmiakirshner\" target=\"_blank\">Mia Kirshner<\/a>), and through conversation, it is disclosed to us that Kenya is also the original owner of the gown.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.defiance.com\/en\/series\/ \" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-654\" alt=\"Defiance S1 x 10 Teelo Time\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-Teelo-Time-400x220.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"220\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-Teelo-Time-400x220.jpg 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-Teelo-Time-256x140.jpg 256w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-Teelo-Time-320x176.jpg 320w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-Teelo-Time.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>Whilst the fitting concludes, Stahma Tarr (<a title=\"Jaime Murray Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MsJaimeMurray\" target=\"_blank\">Jaime Murray<\/a>) enters the room with a box. She recites to Christie of how she has heard of \u201csomething borrowed\u201d for Earth weddings.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Then she tells Christie of her exodus and how when told to evacuate, the Castithans were allowed three items on the ship with them; Stahma says she took Family Gem, her diary, and the object in the box \u2013 the Teelo she wore for her wedding, and that she would like Christie to wear it for her wedding, something borrowed from Stahma.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">In the next scene, we see Doc Yewl (<a title=\"Trenna Keating Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TrennaKeating\" target=\"_blank\">Trenna Keating<\/a>), Nolan (<a title=\"Grant Bowler Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GrantBowler\" target=\"_blank\">Grant Bowler<\/a>), and Tommy (<a title=\"Dewshane Williams Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DewshaneW\" target=\"_blank\">Dewshane Williams<\/a>) standing over and examining the remains. We learn that the \u201cexhumed\u201d (from the wall) body belongs to none other than Hunter Bell (<a title=\"Brendan McCarthy IMDB\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0995100\/\" target=\"_blank\">Brendan McCarthy<\/a>), Kenya\u2019s missing (and estranged) husband. After Mayor Nicky (<a title=\"Fionnula Flanagan IMDB\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0001217\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fionnula Flanagan<\/a>) exits the office, after of course hearing that Hunter Bell\u2019s body has been discovered, Amanda flashes back to a session with Kenya revealing abuse of some sort. Amanda is pulled back to reality and admits nothing.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.defiance.com\/en\/series\/ \" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-644\" alt=\"Defiance S1 x 10 Murder on Backburner\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-Murder-on-Backburner-400x221.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-Murder-on-Backburner-400x221.jpg 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-Murder-on-Backburner-256x142.jpg 256w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-Murder-on-Backburner-320x177.jpg 320w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-Murder-on-Backburner.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>As Nolan and Tommy take their leave of the office and get back onto the streets of Defiance, Tommy is convinced that BOTH Amanda and Kenya are lying.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It becomes apparent to Tommy that, being the wedding day of Alak and Christie, that Nolan is not about to much of anything.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Tommy is quite annoyed at this, confronting Nolan on this issue. Nolan\u2019s reply is basically along the lines that sometimes good people do bad things, and this time a bad man was stopped. Tommy does not like the fact that Nolan appears to be sweeping this under the rug \u2013 especially since it has been revealed to the viewers that this happens to have been Tommy\u2019s first case, seven or so years ago, only 3 days on the job.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Next we see Rafe McCawley (<a title=\"Graham Greene IMDB\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0001295\/?ref_=sr_1\" target=\"_blank\">Graham Greene<\/a>) and Datak Tarr (<a title=\"Tony Curran Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TonyCurran69\" target=\"_blank\">Tony Curran<\/a>) discussing Christie\u2019s wearing of the Teelo at her wedding. Rafe says he will have nothing of it, even it if it is custom, and especially since he is \u201cfooting the bill\u201d. Then it occurs to Rafe that Datak has been alright with the wedding ever since it was announced, and he begins to question his motives.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Datak is a master at keeping a cool head and mouth when warranted, especially when now accused and affronted by Rafe\u2019s statements to the effects of his wanting the kids to be married to get his hands on the McCawley mines.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>To this end, Rafe states that seeing as his mines are on \u201cstolen\u201d Irathient land, upon Rafe\u2019s death, the mines and land will be donated and returned to the Irathients.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.defiance.com\/en\/series\/ \" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-645\" alt=\"Defiance S1 x 10 New Evidence\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-New-Evidence-400x221.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-New-Evidence-400x221.jpg 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-New-Evidence-256x141.jpg 256w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-New-Evidence-320x177.jpg 320w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-New-Evidence.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Not so cool, calm, and collected, Datak storms into his home yelling Casthi vulgarities and calls off the wedding. Ever the master manipulator, Stahma tries to calm him, but to no avail \u2013 I mean come on, when was the last time you saw Stahma in a situation or conversation that did not involve carefully placed intonations and smirks? Stahma reminds Datak that Alak is of Earth, not the mother world, that he sees things differently. Datak quickly cuts her off by saying that Alak has lost his sense of smell, and perhaps she has too!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">As Tommy and Irisa (<a title=\"Stephanie Leonidas Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/StephLeonidas\" target=\"_blank\">Stephanie Leonidas<\/a>) scour the hole in the wall for any clues and evidence, Irisa\u2019s kee<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.defiance.com\/en\/series\/ \" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-655\" alt=\"Defiance S1 x 10 They went to Jared's\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-They-went-to-Jareds-400x219.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"219\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-They-went-to-Jareds-400x219.jpg 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-They-went-to-Jareds-256x140.jpg 256w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-They-went-to-Jareds-320x175.jpg 320w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/defiance\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Defiance-S1-x-10-They-went-to-Jareds.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">n eye picks out some hair in the studs and framework of the inner wall. Having determined it to be Liberata, Tommy and Irisa head to Jered Kikema\u2019s (<a title=\"Jessica Nichols Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realjessnichols\" target=\"_blank\">Jessica Nichols<\/a>) trailer, to see if he may be able to shed some light. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Upon arrival, no one answers and the door is locked. Wanting to seek a warrant, Tommy yields, but Irisa does not, she wants her answers. Breaking a window to unlock the door and gain entrance, Tommy and Irisa find the trailer a mess and Jered dead on the floor.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">We next find Datak telling Alak that the wedding is off, that Datak has had a change of heart. Nicky did it out of pride more than anything, I think.
