\"Helix<\/a>Diving right into this review, we hear an interesting and applicable song called \u201cPlow Under\u201d by the Almanac Singers<\/a>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This song harkens back to the WWII era where it was originally composed to parody and protest the AAA\u2019s (Agricultural Adjustment Administration<\/a>) Lend-Lease program. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Within the Lend-Lease program there is a provision that allows farmers to \u201cplow under\u201d (or destroy) their crops and livestock in order to raise prices so that the farmers could stay in business and provide for society. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the parody, the Almanac Singers quoted an isolationist senator that had stated that the Lend-Lease would \u201cplow under every fourth American boy.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
