We all know a bullet is not an effective method for taking out Sixes. mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">He had been working behind her back with Pawter and she wasn\u2019t very pleased about it. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">But poor Johnny, he\u2019d gotten quite the pounding.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; D\u2019avin (<a title=\"Luke Macfarlane IMDb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1682832\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luke Macfarlane<\/a>) and Turin (<a title=\"Patrick Garrow IMDb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0308538\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Patrick Garrow<\/a>) are in Westerly-Old Town tracking down an alleged Six, Hoolian Ducat (<a title=\"Patrick Kerton IMDb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0450063\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Patrick Kerton<\/a>). <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">They find him and a fight breaks out between the three. This is where one of my favorite <a title=\"Killjoys on Syfy\" href=\"http:\/\/www.syfy.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Killjoys<\/a> moves comes into play, the &#8220;pine cone&#8221; punch! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">As Hoolian is getting the best of D\u2019av, D\u2019avin learns a new plasma control trick. This new trick leads to Hoolian\u2019s eyeballs exploding in D\u2019av\u2019s face. Can we all say eww? Guess that\u2019s one way to end the fight.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.syfy.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-666 size-medium alignleft\" title=\"Killjoys on Syfy\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Pawter-Power-400x224.png\" alt=\"Pawter Power\" width=\"400\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Pawter-Power-400x224.png 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Pawter-Power-256x144.png 256w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Pawter-Power.png 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>We learn that Dutch\u2019s call to have Pawter get Johnny out of his situation was a good one. I am so loving <a title=\"Sarah Power on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sarahspower\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sarah Power<\/a>\u2019s character, Pawter, more with every <a title=\"Killjoys on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Killjoys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Killjoys<\/a> episode! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Pawter completely dominates Jelco when she\u2019s telling him how things are going to go down if he doesn\u2019t release Johnny. She was both terrifyingly dark and utterly amazing! And it works as Johnny is released. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Jelco tells Pawter: \u2018Power looks good on you Seyah.\u2019 (I have to agree, <a title=\"Sarah Power on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sarahspower\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sarah Power<\/a> killed that scene!) As Johnny and Pawter leave, the \u2018sh**bag\u2019 (sorry <a title=\"Pascal Langdale on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pascallangdale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pascal<\/a>, Johnny\u2019s words) calls for Seyah Kendry (<a title=\"Mayco Nguyen IMDb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1534287\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mayco Nguyen<\/a>). That can\u2019t lead anywhere good.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Meanw<a href=\"http:\/\/www.syfy.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-668 alignright\" title=\"Killjoys on Syfy\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Proof-190x192.png\" alt=\"Proof\" width=\"240\" height=\"242\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Proof-190x192.png 190w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Proof.png 336w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/a>hile, Dutch tells D\u2019avin that she and Johnny have temporarily suspended their partnership until the two finish their separate endeavors. D\u2019avin, deciding that Johnny could use a time out for lying to them, decides to help Dutch find Alena (also played by <a title=\"Hannah John-Kamen on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hannahjk1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hannah John-Kamen<\/a>), so off they go.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">On Westerly, Pawter thinks she knows why the Company has walled in the town and that she can prove it. She and Johnny discuss the theory of execution eugenics (using a biological containment that kills the elderly and the weak). Johnny refers to it as \u2018culling the herd\u2019.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Killjoys?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-664 alignleft\" title=\"Killjoys on Twitter\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Westerly-Wall-192x192.jpg\" alt=\"Westerly Wall\" width=\"240\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Westerly-Wall-192x192.jpg 192w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Westerly-Wall-400x400.jpg 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Westerly-Wall.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/a>After Seyah Kendry and Jelco have spoken and she knows Pawter and Johnny are in Westerly investigating. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">She tells him to show Pawter and Johnny what the wall is for. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">I must share at this point that I really hate these two characters working together! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Jelco then activates the boundary wall.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.syfy.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-667 alignright\" title=\"Killjoys on Syfy\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Olan-192x192.jpg\" alt=\"Olan\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Olan-192x192.jpg 192w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Olan-400x400.jpg 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Olan.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/a>On Leith at the Scarback Monastery, Dutch and D\u2019av have gone to see Olan (<a title=\"Ricardo Hoyos on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RicardoHoyos2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ricardo Hoyos<\/a>). Alvis (<a title=\"Morgan Kelly on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Morgansam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Morgan Kelly<\/a>..he&#8217;s my zen hero) tells them that Olan is broken and that he\u2019d tried to kill his own little brother. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Dutch asks Olan if he knows what a Level Six is. She goes on to ask if he has nightmares and tells him that she has them about someone who looks like her. Dutch asks him if she says the name \u2018Alena\u2019, and that\u2019s all it took. Olan flips, visions flash, and he starts yelling &#8216;devil&#8217;. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Olan begins to draw on the monastery wall. He tells them it\u2019s a map of the rivers on Arkyn (Arkyn has no rivers). He tells them he felt water and he could hear people screaming and they were drowning. He tells Alvis about how he made Hoolian\u2019s eyes explode and Alvis asks \u2018Did you touch his eyeballs?\u2019 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">D\u2019Avin goes on to tell him how he can control the plasma in the Sixes and wants Alvis to teach him how to control it. He refers to it as \u2018Monk me up a bit.\u2019 Alvis\u2019 suggestion was to start by NOT wishing death on someone. D\u2019av replies: \u2018Baby steps Monk.. Baby steps.\u2019 The entire time, Alvis stays so Zen. That was just one of my many favorite scenes between these two. As Dutch, D\u2019avin, and Alvis are approaching the cube, the imagery was just stunning in that shot! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">While Alvis and D\u2019av have zero luck with the safe house, it responds to Dutch\u2019s touch. The three enter and the cube spins and free falls into the earth. They\u2019ve gone so deep that they\u2019ve lost communications with Lucy and have come out into what appears to be an abandoned lab. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Alvis complains about how the tiny weapon Dutch has given him isn\u2019t very intimidating. They test the smuggled food and still find no contaminates. Pawter mentions rats and gluten free and Carl rapidly spits out the food, spatting \u2018gluten\u2019.. Rats dude.. R.A.T.S! He mentions a special delivery coming via the Company. One body has a stent and D\u2019Av says it\u2019s the same thing he had in his neck on Red 17. Dutch then referred to their surroundings as the first Red 17. In another room, they hear Alvis talking to someone. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">They rush in to see him talking to an ancient Scarback (<a title=\"Julian Richings on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/julianrichings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Julian Richings<\/a>) who\u2019s alive but in a trance-like state and entrapped behind the same type of wall that surrounds Westerly. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Alvis brings it to the <a title=\"Killjoys on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Killjoys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Killjoys<\/a> attention that with the body count, ten, that they\u2019d found suspended and the one whose remains they had found in Westerly This ancient Scarback is the twelfth of the twelve Monks who came to Arkyn in the past to fight the devil. He has such a beautiful voice. I think that I and other Pree fans would love to hear more of Thom singing. They&#8217;re going to use it to their advantage. Dutch says the ancient Scarbacks didn\u2019t come to fight the devil.. they came to fight Alena. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">When they catch up to him, he ambushes them. He\u2019s a Six which means D\u2019avin can control his plasma but he REALLY needs Alvis\u2019 help. Or as my brother-in-law says \u2018their cheese has slid off their crackers\u2019. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Arune (Holy sh*t it&#8217;s none other than Dolls from <a title=\"Wynonna Earp on Syfy\" href=\"http:\/\/www.syfy.com\/wynonnaearp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wynonna Earp<\/a>, <a title=\"Shamier Anderson on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ShamierAnderson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shamier Anderson<\/a>) arrives for his proof that Pawter promised him and is puzzled by the duos behavior. He asks if they\u2019re high?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">I\u2019m going with a big old YEP. Something is definitely going on here and the two admit to feeling high. Pawter thinks the contaminate is in the Company rations but at this point I\u2019m going with something about the wall as well. It wasn\u2019t easy to persuade the old Scarback that Dutch is not Alena. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">But he finally answers and we learn Alena called Khlyen \u2018father\u2019. Dutch is beside herself. (Another amazing shot and set for this scene!) The ancient then begs Dutch to kill him. I actually got fairly choked up during this scene. D\u2019avin offered to do it for her but she knows she should be the one. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">After Alvis performs the ancient Scarbacks last rites, Dutch does the deed. I thought this was a very touching scene and that <a title=\"Hannah John-Kamen on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hannahjk1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hannah John-Kamen<\/a>, <a title=\"Morgan Kelly on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Morgansam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Morgan Kelly<\/a>, <a title=\"Luke Macfarlane IMDb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1682832\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luke Macfarlane<\/a>, and <a title=\"Julian Richings on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/julianrichings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Julian Richings<\/a> played this out beautifully. Johnny and Pawter are of absolutely NO help to Arune. They\u2019re in a happy little bubble and not quite in control of themselves. Then to test Johnny after Johnny tells him he\u2019s bad, he licks up Pawter\u2019s neck trying to get a rise out of Johnny. I so wanna throat punch him myself! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">But even though Pawter and Johnny are both wall wasted, they still know they are going to get Jelco and prove what the Company is up to. I knew they were still in there somewhere, but they are unable to resist Jelco as he gets them ready for their close up with Arune.
