That awe was sealed with the strut and destruct scene towards the end of episode one of <a title=\"Syfy's Killjoys Website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.syfy.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\">Killjoys<\/a> when she comes strutting down the dark walkway. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">This episode starts with Dutch (<a title=\"Hannah John-Kamen IMDb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm4789912\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hannah John-Kamen<\/a>), John Jaqobis (<a title=\"Aaron Ashmore on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AaronRAshmore\" target=\"_blank\">Aaron Ashmore<\/a>), and D\u2019Avin Jaqobis (<a title=\"Luke Macfarlane IMDb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1682832\/\" target=\"_blank\">Luke Macfarlane<\/a>) running down a warrant, Enzo, played by <a title=\"Brayden Jones on IMDb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0427616\/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t88\" target=\"_blank\">Brayden Jones<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-109 \" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Sparky-204x192.jpg\" alt=\"Sparky\" width=\"400\" height=\"376\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Sparky-204x192.jpg 204w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Sparky-400x377.jpg 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Sparky.jpg 509w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>There seems to be a little bit of debating on which method to use: Plan A, Plan B, or Plan C. I thought for sure Dutch\u2019s plan would stop the runner who, by the time he came upon Dutch, had stolen a set of wheels. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">But even with her gracefully tossing a hot cup of soup at his face causing him to crash, he wasn\u2019t going down easy and Plan B failed. When D\u2019Avin catches up to them he tries to get clarity and asks Dutch \u2018So if I touch him first, this could still count as my first catch, right?\u2019 To which the warrant yells \u2018Touch this!\u2019 Insert voice octave change as D\u2019Avin takes one for the team! Plan A didn\u2019t work out so well either. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">When John catches up to the warrant, John welcomes him with \u2018Welcome to Plan C b***h!\u2019 Gloated too soon here John! Plan C didn\u2019t quite do it. When cornered, the warrant sees what he deems to be his way out and begins climbing a trellis. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Well, the warrant won\u2019t have to worry about getting locked up. On the bright side, there was a really nice light show as the warrant first gets electrocuted, then explodes. Level 4 warrants are dead or alive. \u2018Dead it is.\u2019 John being the ever so helpful brother quips to D\u2019Avin; \u2018you tagged him, you bag him.\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-114 \" title=\"Syfy Killjoys Web Page\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Enzo-256x144.png\" alt=\"Enzo\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Enzo-256x144.png 256w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Enzo-400x225.png 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Enzo.png 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>Once back in the Quad, they turn in the bag of what&#8217;s left of the warrant. Bellus Haardy, played by <a title=\"Nora Mclellan on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MclellanNora\" target=\"_blank\">Nora Mclellan<\/a>, killed me with the line &#8216;You&#8217;re getting Enzo all over my desk&#8217;. Killjoys is loaded with these great little sarcastic one-liners! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Haardy informs Dutch that she has been requested by The Nine for a job. I got the feeling Dutch has no love for The Nine. Call it a hunch. Or maybe it was more her referring to them as inbred, fascist nobles.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-93 alignleft\" title=\"Mayko Nguyen IMDb\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Introducing-Kendry.jpg\" alt=\"Introducing Kendry\" width=\"341\" height=\"291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Introducing-Kendry.jpg 394w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Introducing-Kendry-225x192.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 341px) 100vw, 341px\" \/><\/a>This is when we are introduced to Kendry, <a title=\"Mayko Nguyen IMDb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1534287\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mayko Nguyen<\/a>, of the The Nine. She&#8217;s a strong character. But I get the feeling she&#8217;s got her own agenda. We find the job is to transport a young woman to Qresh. The young woman is a Leithian vessel\/surrogate, implanted with the only heir of one of The Nine&#8217;s clan. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Kendry needs the Killjoys to get the surrogate and the unborn heir to Qresh so the baby can be born on Qreshi soil to inherit the land and prevent a war between The Nines. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">The only problem is Kendry has no idea where the vessel is. This would have been a helpful piece of knowledge to bring to the party.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-122 \" title=\"Morgan Kelly IMDb\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Alvis-256x144.jpg\" alt=\"Alvis\" width=\"401\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Alvis-256x144.jpg 256w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Alvis-400x225.jpg 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Alvis.jpg 448w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 401px) 100vw, 401px\" \/><\/a>We get to see a little more of <a title=\"Morgan Kelly on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Morgansam\" target=\"_blank\">Morgan Kelly<\/a> as Alvis, a Scarback, this episode as he gives the Killjoys info about the vessels location. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">The Scarbacks are another interesting, mysterious group of characters that I&#8217;d like to learn more about. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Alvis tells her to trust no one.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-95 size-medium\" title=\"Syfy Killjoys Web Page\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Nuns-With-Guns-400x225.png\" alt=\"Nuns With Guns\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Nuns-With-Guns-400x225.png 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Nuns-With-Guns-256x144.png 256w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Nuns-With-Guns.png 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>Into the Badlands! That word, to me, always implies gloom and doom. But John doesn&#8217;t share my feelings on this. Yelling how much he loves the Badlands. For now, John, we will have to agree to disagree. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">They locate a fortress that was well hidden by projecting a false cliff face. When the group enters the fortress, they find the Leithian vessel Constance, <a title=\"Chloe Rose on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/chloerose4\" target=\"_blank\">Chloe Rose<\/a>, and other Leith girls but are soon ambushed by gun toting nuns who&#8217;ve been protecting Constance. And can nuns call bull***t, because Mother Sal, <a title=\"Laara Sadiq Web Page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.laarasadiq.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Laara Sadiq<\/a>, sure did. Tsk tsk Mother.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-97 size-medium alignright\" title=\"Syfy Killjoys Web Page\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Jenny-400x225.png\" alt=\"Jenny\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Jenny-400x225.png 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Jenny-256x144.png 256w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Jenny.png 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>While Dutch explains that they are there to transport Constance, not kill her, the guys are chatted up by a few of the Leithian girls. (Picture Valley Girls dialect here) One says &#8216;We love brothers. Do you guys like being Killjoys, and flying around and stuff?&#8217; While one stands there twirling her hair. And yes, the Jaqobis brothers were eating this up. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Jenny, played by <a title=\"Dayle McLeod on Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Dayle_Mcleod\" target=\"_blank\">Dayle McLeod<\/a>, seems to be the only one to have a good grip on her hormones. She walks past John and D&#8217;Av and quips &#8216;It&#8217;s feeding time in the lion\u2019s den, and you&#8217;re the meat.&#8217; I like this girl! I&#8217;d like to see her in more episodes. Which I was later disappointed to see wasn&#8217;t going to be possible.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-103 alignleft\" title=\"Syfy Killjoys Web Page\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Mercenaries-256x144.jpg\" alt=\"Mercenaries\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Mercenaries-256x144.jpg 256w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Mercenaries-400x225.jpg 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Mercenaries.jpg 448w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>Enter the mercenaries who were sent to make sure the child never makes it to Qresh. They\u2019ve taken down the security grid. While Jenny and John take off to fix the security system, we get a little moment between Dutch and D&#8217;Av. She&#8217;s not very sympathetic to the other Leithian girls. Her job is to transport the vessel not the others. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">He tells her &#8216;not everyone is as hard as you.&#8217; To which she replies, &#8216;didn&#8217;t start out that way.&#8217; I thought it was a softer side of Dutch, letting her guard down. I&#8217;m curious to see where these 2 end up. There seems to be an underlying attraction between them. Meanwhile in John&#8217;s little corner of the fortress, I think he may have been falling in like with Jenny. She&#8217;s very intelligent and gives a little more insight to their way of life.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/killjoys\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-98 size-medium alignright\" title=\"Syfy Killjoys Web Page\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Dutch-Dance-400x225.jpg\" alt=\"Dutch Dance\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Dutch-Dance-400x225.jpg 400w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Dutch-Dance-256x144.jpg 256w, https:\/\/wormholeriders.net\/killjoys\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Dutch-Dance.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>While the two are making the repairs, a mercenary has entered the fortress. And what would a <a title=\"Killjoys IMDb\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt3952222\/\" target=\"_blank\">Killjoys<\/a> EP be like without Dutch throwing down with someone? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">I personally don&#8217;t want to know, but thankfully a mercenary drops in to ensure that I wasn&#8217;t disappointed. They lose one of the girls to gunfire. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">And to give the Killjoys time to escape with Constance, Jenny makes the ultimate sacrifice and, posing as the vessel, blows herself and the mercenaries up. RIP Jenny. Poor John, his love interest bites the dust. By now, I&#8217;m having trouble keeping up with his ladies.
